You can improve you MPG a LOT just by changing your driving habit. I’m talking close to 40% (this was from MNSBC report).
(1) drive slow – not too much over 55 mph
(2) accelerate slow
(3) no unnecessary braking
(4) don’t rush to red-light, cruise to red light and hope it turns green
(5) use cruise control (VERY IMPORTANTYou get the idea. It really works.

Your driving habit is even MORE important than filling your tires to proper pressure. If your tires were low by 5 psi, that would not even make 1 or 2 mpg difference !!!Good luck…

Driving habits can help alot. I would also suggest using a full synthetic oil. I use Royal Purple. Also i would suggest using a fuel additive every 3000 miles to help keep injectors clean. I personally use Lucas oil products in my 2002 ford f-150, and 2006 ford focus. And please make sure your air filter is changed every 10,000 miles.
