Can backing up sensors in cars be painted?

I have a silver tungsten Ford Fusion.I want to add backing up sensor but I would like to paint them so they look the original.Will the paint interfear with the sensor?

Most new vehicles have them painted. Just walk through the parking lot at the supermarket and you”s see them painted. I would recomend you have it done at a body shop. I wouldn’t do it yourself as when you are done you might like them better black.
